Meet Michelle Connor Flores, who started her career in the meetings industry and brings extensive DMC experience, as well as a background in food and beverage, floral and event design, to our Kuoni Destination Management office in Chicago.

The combination of iconic skyscrapers and lakefront location makes Chicago one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Our Chicago DMC team is fortunate to have so much inspiration, as Chicago’s lakefront, highlighted by Millennium Park, offers a jam-packed cultural calendar, as well as new sporting events and attractions, year round. Of course, Chicago’s outstanding restaurants and live music venues are a huge plus! And forget your perception of Chicago as a simple Midwest city. Home to world-renowned artists, architects and designers, Chicago impacts the world with cutting-edge design and creativity.

Chicago is also an amazing destination for unique restaurant concepts, innovative chefs and high culinary standards. Closely tied to the local food and “Farm to Table” movements, many Chicago restaurant chefs and caterers use seasonable and local ingredients on their menus. And so do we! Interactive cooking classes and events add local flavor to our Chicago corporate events and programs. Recently, we combined a “local and organic” workshop with an excursion to the Green City Farmer’s Market at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Culinary experts led our corporate group through the Market, introducing them to farmers and helping them shop. Attendees then took their bounty to a kitchen/event space for a cooking workshop led by a local chef. Not only was this an unforgettable dining experience, but it was also a great teambuilding and educational activity.
